I will always trust Ruben's Auto Repair! I ran into car issues at 7:30 in the morning, and within 30 minutes, they were able to take my vehicle in. Same day! They were extremely helpful and listened to my concerns and reassured me. Lonnie and Dana were wonderful throughout the whole process and had great communication. 100% recommended.

My mother-in-law referred after having come to these guys YEARS ago. Would 100% recommend! I got a catalytic converter code from my check engine light and instead of just recommending I replace the whole thing, they informed me that it’s best to find the root cause first and what the potential issues might be. They found the problem (and a few others I didn’t know existed), provided a statement with detailed explanations for each issue and fixed the vehicle the very next day! Feels good to receive service that actually matches the prices and gives 110% effort! Not just another money hungry shop.

As a first time brand new vehicle owner, it took me a very long time in a lot of research to find a mechanic shop that I trust to work. On the most expensive investment I have ever made in my young life And I really cannot say enough Great things about this shop and everyone of It’s employees I have exclusively used them for every single oil change in vehicle maintenance. I have ever needed and it is always top quality about a month ago when San Antonio got it. Very heavy rainstorms. I made the mistake of driving through what I thought was shallow. Water turned out to be a lot deeper. I completely ruined my engine after working it out with insurance. They were able to prove a new engine for my car. And these guys diligently did the work and got my car back on the road. I really cannot say how appreciative I am for everything. This shop has done for me and we’ll continue to do. I do not trust anybody with my Chrysler like I do Rubens auto repair

They consistently do good work at fair prices and have demonstrated their honesty on a number of occassions by performing a simple fix rather than hitting us with the more expensive one we were anticipating. I had a breakdown, my car was overheating and leaking fluids. Ruben's Auto Repair worked with my warranty company and within 3 days my car was fixed cleaned and ready to drive. They got my repairs covered and did a great job fixing the vehicle and cleaning it up as well in the in the engine compartment. I definitely recommend Ruben's Auto Repair for all your car repairs. I will definitely use them again. Thank you guys for all your hard work.

had a great experience at Ruben’s Auto Repair! I came in for an oil change, coolant flush, and spark plug replacement while traveling from out of town, and Lonnie and his team took care of everything on short notice.

They worked quickly, communicated clearly throughout the process, and made sure I understood exactly what was being done. I really appreciated the honesty and the heads-up on anything else that might need attention.

The whole experience was smooth and stress-free. If I’m ever back in the area and need service, I’ll definitely return. Highly recommend!

I would like to recognize Pedro! Very nice and professional. He worked hard to solve a very difficult mechanical issue related to my brakes. He kept me updated every step of the way. Everyone there is helpful and competent.

I came here needing a lot of maintenance work done to my 2012 4 Runner. Pedro and the Rueben automotive family took great care of me from diagnostics to repair and replace. Pricing was very reasonable and they were all very honest about what did and did not need to be done to keep my car running.

I took my 2010 Camaro SS into Ruben's Auto Repair and they did a great job fixing some major issues that I knew about and some that I wasn't aware until a great mechanic, Jesse Gonzales, informed me. I had to have aftermarket suspension gear removed and went back to factory-type suspension. I also had work done with the oil pan gasket and timing chain. I picked up the car this afternoon and took her out for roughly a 25 mile round trip. I was very satisfied with the work done to the car and highly recommend you check them out if you need any car repairs done. My vehicle is 17 years old and and still worth to hang with the muscle cars!

I brought my new Subaru for courtesy inspection and recommended work with quotes. I am happy that inspection was done short time(1.5 hours) complete with detail documented report and itemized quotes for each items.
I am shopping around my new mechanic as Subaru required specific service requirements based on user community inputs. I haven't done any work at the shop yet. I will check couple of more shops and decide where I will bring my Subaru for the trusting shop for long term continuous services.
So far so good .

If I could give them 10 stars I would I usually prefer to talk to Lonnie because he is just amazing I definitely prefer coming here because how awesome he is I definitely recommend my friends and family because all the guys here just treat me amazing and the work they do is just beyond fantastic in this industry.

When I lived in San Antonio from 2006-2017, Ruben's took care of all my car repair issues quickly, accurately, and for a fair price. I then moved out of state, was back in San antonio for the week starting Monday, Oct.2, 2023. My van developed a noise when moving, I dropped it off at Ruben's on Thursday morning, they gave me a ride back to my hotel that was a long way from the shop- they not only removed the screw that was in one tire and repaired it, they also did a complete travel check, and replaced my worn wiper blades, all in one day, for a very reasonable price!!! My van made the 1,400 mile trip back to Ohio, it performed flawlessly. Many thanks to the team at Ruben's for taking care of my van!!! It was great to see some of the same staff I knew from 2017!!

Ruben's was recommended by a friend so I called around 9:30 to see if I could get my spark plugs changed today. Dana asked a few questions and recommended bringing in the afternoon. It took about an hour and cost reasonable. Efficient, friendly, and affordable. Will definitely return instead of to dealer.

ABSOLUTEY AMAZING!!!! Called them around 10 and asked how quickly they could look at my car for engine overheating and coolant leak. The man that answered said if I could get there pretty quick, they should be able to look at it before lunch.

I got there about 11 and they had me out of there a little after 1. They fixed the problem (which was just a small T-head connector) and checked for any possible residual damage. Best thing... it didn't cost an arm and a leg like I expected either!

SUPER friendly staff also!
